Cycles privacy

Privacy policy.

This policy explains what information Cycles handles, where sensitive cycle information stays, and which choices remain under your control.

Last updated July 18, 2026

At a glance

Sensitive context stays on your iPhone.

Cycles has no account, cloud sync, advertising, or third-party analytics. Profiles and cycle information are stored locally and leave the app only when you deliberately export or share them.

01 · Scope and controller

Who this policy covers.

This privacy policy applies to the Cycles iPhone app and the Cycles support and privacy pages on byelias.dev. The responsible developer and data controller is Elias Haghverdi, operating as Bonsai Media. Provider and contact details are available in the Impressum.

02 · App information

Information the app handles.

Cycles lets you create profiles and record information such as names, cycle dates, current-period or premenstrual signals, notes, estimates, app preferences, and optional Face ID protection settings. This may include information about another person that they have chosen to share with you.

Consent matters.

Only add information about someone who has knowingly chosen to share it with you. Cycles is intended for considerate awareness, not covert monitoring.

03 · Storage and processing

On-device by design.

Profile and cycle information is stored and processed locally on your iPhone. Cycles does not provide an account, cloud sync, or a developer-operated server for this app information. The developer therefore does not receive or have access to the profiles, cycle dates, signals, notes, or estimates stored in the app.

If you enable Face ID protection, authentication is performed by iOS. Cycles receives only the success or failure result and does not receive or store biometric data.

04 · Exports and sharing

Information leaves only when you choose.

Cycles can create a portable export when you initiate that action. You decide where the exported file is sent or saved through the iOS share interface. Once you share or store an export with another app, person, or service, that recipient's privacy practices and your choices there apply.

Review an export before sharing it. It may contain sensitive information about you or another person.

05 · Analytics, ads, and tracking

No advertising or cross-app tracking.

  • Cycles does not include third-party advertising.
  • Cycles does not sell personal or cycle information.
  • Cycles does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
  • Cycles does not use third-party analytics SDKs to profile app usage.

06 · Support and website use

Information you send deliberately.

If you contact support, the developer receives the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, app and device details, and attachments. It is used to answer the request and diagnose the reported issue. The legal basis is responding to your request and the legitimate interest in operating and improving support.

When these public pages are visited, the hosting infrastructure may process ordinary technical request information such as an IP address, timestamp, requested page, and browser information to deliver and protect the website. Website request data is not connected to information stored inside Cycles.

07 · Retention and deletion

You decide how long app information remains.

On-device information remains until you edit or delete a profile, use the app's delete-all control, or delete the app and its local data. Support correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, maintain continuity, or meet legal obligations.

Detailed instructions are available on the Privacy Choices page. You can also contact support to request access to or deletion of support correspondence you previously sent.

08 · Your rights

Rights over information the developer holds.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to processing of personal information held by the developer, and to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. Because app information stays on your device, use the in-app controls for profiles and cycle information. For support or website-related requests, use Cycles Support.

09 · Changes and contact

If the app changes, this policy changes too.

This policy will be updated if Cycles introduces a new data practice, service provider, or feature that materially changes how information is handled. The revision date at the top identifies the current version.

Questions or privacy requests can be sent through Cycles Support.
